Customer experience: finding and retaining customers with UX design
A successful brand image, high user loyalty, lively and successful product management – these are just some of the effects of products and services that are created using user-centered design and thus have a high customer experience.
Our services
The operation of interactive products has become an integral part of our lives. Whether it’s home entertainment, online consultation hours or the new kitchen appliance: for everyday products to support us well, they need to be developed with people in mind and offer a positive digital experience. For more than 25 years, UID has been designing positive user experiences together with manufacturers of consumer products.
Here are some examples of projects:
- Household and kitchen appliances
- Home automation and smart living
- Home Entertainment
- Communication software
- Game Design
- Assistance systems
The revision of a product or service is always an excellent opportunity to put your own business model to the test. Are there new opportunities as a result of the digital transformation? How can user experience be anchored not only at product level but throughout the entire company? Our Changitors are the experts for these questions.
Brand loyalty through UX
Technology is increasingly making its way into our everyday lives. Products from different brands often hardly differ in terms of their technical functions. It is therefore important for manufacturers to differentiate themselves from the competition through other attributes. A positive user experience can help brands become a love brand and build customer loyalty.
UX design ensures that the consumer’s customer journey with the products is as seamless, intuitive and appealing as possible. The application becomes an experience, evokes positive emotions and the product is remembered. This creates a basic trust in a brand, which ultimately leads to strong brand loyalty and strengthens the brand image.
Smart Living – (UX) Happiness is homemade
After washing machines, vacuum cleaners and the like, the trend towards automation in the home is continuing. But what added value do smart homes offer the 40 million or so private households in Germany? The smart home promises its residents a lot: comfort, energy efficiency and an improved quality of life, while at the same time being highly economical.
But which smart living product will meet with enthusiasm? And why? User research and user studies provide valid impulses for the (further) development of digital experiences. How do you create positive user experiences and acceptance of these solutions? UX design optimizes the interaction between users and the various smart devices. User-friendly UIs allow users to easily control their smart home devices, whether via mobile apps, voice commands or automated processes.
UX design takes the individual needs and preferences of users into account in order to create personalized experiences and thus further improve comfort and quality of life in the smart home.
Artificial intelligence – user interfaces with multi-layered interaction
Products that are supported by algorithms and artificial intelligence (AI) are now widespread and range from voice assistants to autonomous vehicles. These AI-based systems are successful if the interaction between users and the AI application is successful. The multi-layered interaction with an AI makes it necessary to take a close look at what users want and how to gain their trust. Ethical aspects and data security also play a major role in the design. Last but not least, companies need to check which AI they can use where and to what extent. User interface experts are on hand to advise you.
Assistive robotics – an opportunity for an ageing society
People are getting older and fewer and fewer people are working in the care professions. The use of service robots in care homes can help to overcome these challenges. But assistance robots can also help people in need in other areas of daily life. However, less tech-savvy people in particular may find it difficult to interact with such robots. A well-designed UX enables users to easily control the assistance robotics and communicate with them, be it via voice commands, gestures or other interaction patterns. The needs and abilities of the users are taken into account. In addition, UX design also helps to increase user confidence in the technology and create a positive experience with assistive robotics, which ultimately leads to wider acceptance and use of this technology.
