OPTIMA and UID win IUX Award 2024

The Future of Industrial Usability Conference & Expo provided the stage for the presentation of the IUX Award: On October 22, 2024, OPTIMA and UID were honored for their outstanding project. The IUX Award honors projects in the industrial environment with outstanding usability and a special user experience.

The announcement in Würzburg was really exciting: the award ceremony was scheduled for late afternoon. We already knew that we were on the shortlist, but would we win in 2024?

The tension dissolved into joy when Carina Völpel, Franz Koller, Jasmin Hellmann, Ralph Siegert and Dominik Roll (OPTIMA) were called to the stage as the winners.

In this award-winning project, we redesigned the user interfaces of packaging machines for the manufacturer OPTIMA. The task was to bring together various user groups with different skills from four business areas. Using the human-centered design process as a guideline, we developed aesthetic and well thought-out user interfaces with a uniform look and feel.
